Purchase gently used winter gear October 7 and 8
Winter sports enthusiasts should start collecting their gently used gear to sell during the annual Outpost Sunsport Swap Sale on October 7 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and October 8 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 931 E. Harmony Road. This event is not only an opportunity to buy and sell winter gear, but also serves as a fundraiser for Respite Care, a nonprofit that serves Northern Colorado.
“This event definitely gets people excited about the winter,” said owner of Outpost Sunsport, Riley Siddoway. “While they are getting great deals on high-performance items, they are also contributing toward a good cause.”
The Outpost Sunsport Swap Sale is executed in two stages. From Tuesday, October 3 through Friday, October 6, patrons can bring in gently used items such as skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and winter apparel to Outpost Sunsport. There is a $4 cost per item to participate in the Swap Sale, and everything must be clean and in working order. All bindings must meet DIN standards. Items not accepted include straight skis, rear entry boots, gloves, goggles, or helmets.
On October 7 and 8, the community is invited to take advantage of the discounted items for sale by visiting the store. For items sold, donors will receive 100 percent of the selling price in store credit or 50 percent of the sold price as cash back.
A percentage of the entry fees will be donated to Respite Care, a nonprofit organization that provides care for children with developmental disabilities, along with support and resources for them and their caregivers. Respite Care’s programs provide community engagement opportunities and activities to foster growth and positive learning experiences. respitecareinc.org. 970-207-9435
