Children’s Museum of Northern Colorado to Host Loveland Art Studio Tour Featuring Paul Kirby
The CMNC envisions each of its exhibits being designed in tandem with experts from our community. One of those experts is local artist, scientist and inventor Paul Kirby. Paul has coined the term “Fusioneering,” which is the practice of combining two or more disciplines to create something new. He has fused his loves of robotics, coding and painting. The culmination of his work is Dulcinea, a fully-automated robot capable of taking human input and interpreting it with a brush and canvas.
Paul is participating in the upcoming Loveland Art Studio Tour. When you visit, you will be able to see Dulcinea herself.
- Dates: October 7, 8, 14, 15
- Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Address: 155 Southwest 12th St., Loveland, CO
- Studio: Right/east building endcap
CMNC has long aspired to feature a digital arts exhibit that would allow children to experience how the physical and digital worlds intersect. Rather than be passive consumers of technology, children will learn how different technologies can be instruments for human creation. No one knows that better than Paul, and the CMNC is excited to collaborate with him on this exhibit.
