The Children’s Museum of Northern Colorado (CMNC) invites you to the First Annual CMNC Day of Play on Sept. 30 from 12-3 p.m. at Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra. The Worldwide Day of Play was created by Nickelodeon, and CMNC is so excited to bring it here to Northern Colorado. The event is part of CMNC’s “Play Today” initiatives.
“We are thrilled to host our first-ever community event. CMNC exists as an organization to promote the importance of playful experiences for children and their caregivers,” says executive director of the museum, Ryan Howard. “Events like Day of Play allow us to serve our mission while we are hard at work building Northern Colorado’s first and only dedicated children’s museum.”
Families will experience activities that will help you find play through creating, building, moving and exploring. You’ll leave with plenty of ideas on how to continue to create play in your own home too.
Children’s Museum of Northern Colorado would like to thank our Play Partners, McWhinney & PCL Construction, for jumping in quickly to help us kick off this event and bring it to families of Northern Colorado.
“McWhinney takes immense pride in fostering vibrant communities,” says Karen McShea, senior vice president of mixed-use development at McWhinney. “Partnering with CMNC to support their Day of Play event exemplifies our community engagement commitment to nurture creativity, imagination and the joy of learning in environments that positively impact youth. We’re looking forward to continued collaboration as CMNC is envisioned to be an integral part of Centerra South. Together, we’re building a foundation that offers a brighter future, one filled with laughter, exploration and boundless possibilities.”
