Despite it raining cats and dogs, hundreds of participants came together for a morning of fitness, fun, and furry friends at the Fire Hyrdrant 5k. This year’s event raised over $97,000, exceeding all expectations and setting a record in the event’s 33-year history. The excitement continued after the 5K walk/run, with the popular pet expo showcasing various pet-related vendors, educational booths, pet contests, and a K-9 demonstration. The funds raised will make a significant impact on Larimer Humane Society’s mission to care for animals in need. Thanks to the generous support of participants, sponsors and volunteers, the 33rd Annual Fire Hydrant 5k & Expo was a memorable day for both the organization and the beloved animals it serves.
