One of the rarest and most iconic warbirds from WWII, B-25J Mitchell ‘Maid in the Shade,’ was on public exhibition at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. The Airbase Arizona Flying Museum brought out the fully restored B-25 bomber as part of the Flying Legends of Victory Tour that will travel through different states until the end of September. The public was invited to experience a “Living History Flight” inside the plane. This particular warplane served with the 319th Bomb Group, 437th Squadron at Serrigia Airbase, Corsica. The plane flew combat missions over Italy and Yugoslavia between November 4 and December 31, 1944.
