Loveland Downtown District Welcomes IN THE GAME Vibrant Downtown Event
Over two hundred conference-goers expected to attend
The Loveland Downtown District is excited to host the 2023 Downtown Colorado Inc. “IN THE GAME” Conference in Downtown Loveland, April 11th – 14th.
Downtown Colorado Inc. (DCI) is a nonprofit, membership association committed to building better communities by aiding Colorado downtowns, commercial districts, main streets, rural communities, and town centers. They are committed to building downtowns that are prosperous, equitable, creative, and welcoming. Their work focuses on establishing community-wide partnerships to facilitate and encourage community engagement for increased economic vitality.
The IN THE GAME Vibrant Downtown event provides valuable educational opportunities and peer-to-peer exchange for the leaders of Colorado’s communities who are responsible for economic and community development. The event gets participants out of their seats and into the host community, exploring the places and projects that vibrant downtowns love to see.
Attendees will take tours of the downtown retailers, public art spaces, the downtown breweries, and the Foundry Plaza. They’ll also attend sessions at the Loveland Museum, the Rialto, desk chair and more. Lunches and dinners will be hosted at multiple downtown restaurants and event spaces throughout the conference. IN THE GAME is also host to the Governor’s Awards for Downtown Excellence, on April 13, celebrating the places, projects, partnerships, and people who champion downtowns across Colorado.
“This conference is unique, because over 200 attendees from around the state will be attending sessions and special events in locations throughout downtown” says Sean Hawkins, Executive Director of the Loveland Downtown District. “We put a lot of thought and effort into making sure that everyone who attends the DCI Conference will get the full Downtown Loveland experience throughout their stay.”
Downtown Colorado Inc.’s Conference App, powered by Carat, will give conference attendees rewards for checking in with events, sponsors, speakers, and local businesses. The Loveland Downtown District and Downtown Colorado In. are excited to highlight Downtown Loveland and encourage some local spending by offering check-ins at participating businesses.
