Following the 1st Colorado Eagles goal of the game scored by forward Oskar Olausson, Eagles fans launched an estimated 8,400 stuffed animals onto the ice during the team’s annual Teddy Bear Toss event. The December 10th game was co-sponsored by Townsquare Media and Pedersen Toyota and is both a fan and player favorite. The stuffed animals were then collected by players and staff and donated to local children’s charities. In addition to the stuffed animals, a cash donation was collected amongst the players and coaching/hockey operations staff in the amount of $3,000. The recipient this season was Realties for Children, a Northern Colorado organization committed to providing emergency and ongoing support needs of children in Northern Colorado who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or are at-risk.
