Human Bean Northern Colorado Raises Money for Front Range Exceptional Equestrians at First Wellington Guest Barista Day
Serving the community is at the heart of what the Human Bean Northern Colorado does. Each month their Guest Barista Day program is designed to give back to different nonprofits and causes. On July 14, Human Bean Northern Colorado hosted their first Guest Barista Day at the newest Wellington location, benefiting Front Range Exceptional Equestrians (FREE). FREE is a Fort Collins based nonprofit that provides adaptive horsemanship and groundwork classes for veterans, first responders, at-risk youth and special needs individuals.
“We are grateful to have our newest location in Wellington join The Human Bean’s company-wide effort to give back to our community with their first Guest Barista Day,” said Owner of Human Bean Northern Colorado, Frank Sherman. “Their remarkable work with horses helps those in need get on a path to hope and healing.”
On August 3, Human Bean Northern Colorado presented a check to Front Range Exceptional Equestrians for $344.85. Leaders and staff members from FREE were present to accept the donation.
The Guest Barista Days program successfully connects nonprofits to customers, helping to raise money for those in need around northern Colorado. Representatives from a selected nonprofit serve as “guest barista” for a few hours during the day at participating locations. The nonprofit representatives engage with customers as they make their way through the drive-thru. Nonprofits can tell customers more about their mission, while distributing information. As part of the day, Human Bean Northern Colorado donates 10 percent of sales from participating locations to the nonprofit. Customers also can make additional cash donations through the “Fill the Cup” campaign.
