The Governor’s Art Show is presented by the Loveland and Thompson Valley Rotary Clubs, in conjunction with the Loveland Museum and endorsed by the Governor of Colorado. The Show is truly “Art With Heart” as net proceeds will benefit Rotary-sponsored charitable projects and causes. One-third of net proceeds will go to the Thompson Education Foundation’s Homeless Assistance Fund, and additional funds will go toward scholarships for local art students. The goal of the Thompson Education Foundation’s Homeless Assistance Fund is to ensure education stability and success by providing support and assistance to students and families in homeless situations.
In addition to the Colorado Governor’s Art Show and Sale, the show presenters will host the Plein Art Festival and Auction on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participating artists will paint across town from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the auction goes from 4:00-5:00 p.m. The auction will be held at the downtown Loveland Foundry Plaza on East Third, across from the Metrolux Theater. This free festival showcases Colorado artists as they masterfully paint works of art open air and on location throughout Loveland, providing a unique opportunity to experience each piece as it is being created. The event also includes live entertainment for your enjoyment.
