Windsor Village Park Installation Near Completion, Ribbon-Cutting Scheduled December 14
The installation of the new playground equipment at Windsor Village Park, 55 Rochester Dr., is expected to be complete by Monday, Dec. 13. A ribbon-cutting reopening the playground to the public is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.www.recreationliveshere.com.
“Throughout the year, we have been mindful and intentional about how we build, what we build and who we are building for,” said Tara Fotsch, deputy director of Windsor’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department. “We held community meetings, heard from our residents, and together, we are replacing the equipment with an equally fun, functional playground based on the community feedback we received.” The previous equipment outlived its life expectancy and has been replaced with new modern, durable playsets that town staff hope will bring fun to the community for many years to come. The new playground equipment will include swings, slides, rope climbing features, a merry-go-round and more. The community is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting accompanied by complimentary cookies and hot chocolate provided by the Town of Windsor. The Town of Windsor’s Parks, Recreation & Culture team will also be there to answer questions residents may have. For the nearest park in your neighborhood, visit
