Outpost Sunsport hosted their annual Swap Sale October 5-10. This popular event is not only an opportunity to sell winter gear, but it serves as a fundraiser for Respite Care, a nonprofit that provides support and resources for children with developmental disabilities. The event raised a total of $2,200 for Respite Care.
“Each year the event has grown,” said Owner of Outpost Sunsport, Randy Morgan. “It is the staff’s hard work organizing the event and the generosity of the community that continues to make this event successful.”
The Outpost Sunsport Swap Sale is executed in two stages. Over the first few days, patrons brought in gently used items such as skis, snowboards, boots, poles and winter apparel. There was a $3 cost per item to participate in the Swap Sale. A percentage of the participation fees were donated to Respite Care. Over the last couple of days, customers were invited to take advantage of the discounted items for sale.
A check for $2,200 was presented to Respite Care on October 29 at their retail location, 931 E. Harmony Road, Fort Collins.
