Sparge Brewing hosted the first-ever Spargetoberfest 5K in September. Spargetoberfest is a 5K run and walk that supports the Wellington American Legion and the Wellington-Waverly Kiwanis Club. The event raised $14,000 in proceeds that went towards supporting local veterans and ensuring that every youth has an opportunity to participate in athletic programs. After runners crossed the finish line, they enjoyed a free beer and breakfast burritos from the Maty Food Truck. Guests came to Sparge to listen to live music, tour booths of local businesses and take a shot at the dunk tank.
