Kites of all sizes and shapes filled the skies at the new Aspire3D Kite Festival hosted this year at Loveland Sports Park, presented by Loveland Ford and Nanci Garnand with Sentry Real Estate. This family-friendly celebration will benefit a new local nonprofit, Aspire3D which provides site-based supportive services to elevate the quality of life for youth and their families, formally homeless veterans, and older adults living with low incomes; in cooperation with the Loveland Housing Authority. This free event was open to all ages of the public and included live entertainment by Antonio Lopez and Switchman Spleepin’, sponsored by the Bohemian Foundation and Loveland Pulse, kite-flying, food trucks, interactive programs such as kite-building and design workshops, professional kite demonstrations, and so much more. There were special appearances by George Peters and Mix McGraw who are the Guinness Book of World Record holders for flying the most kites at the same time! The event raised over $40,000 and hosted over 3,000 guests.
