A Message from We R FoCo

During a time of uncertainty and confusion, many of us are being forced to adapt to new routines and make adjustments in our daily lives to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. We encourage you to support your neighbors, your friends, and your local businesses. Our nonprofits especially need support during this time. Please see below for how you can help a We R FoCo nonprofit, or reach out to them directly.

For a comprehensive list on updates from all We R FoCo members, please click here. We will be updating this page as we continue to receive information from our members.

Meanwhile, remember to stay calm, wash your hands, and support your local businesses that will be feeling extra stress during this time. Together, we’ll make it through!

Catholic Charities of Larimer County: The Mission
Over 100 people are served lunch at The Mission daily. However, the cost per meal has risen due to necessary, temporary changes made to combat COVID-19. Any donation, big or small, is welcomed, especially during this time.

Crossroads Safehouse
Crossroads Safehouse has temporarily discontinued their Wish List program and will not be accepting in-kind donations until further notice. At this time, they are seeking additional help from the community to continue to provide emergency shelter, food, and life-saving services to clients and their children. Please join them in their current fundraising goal in order to keep doors open for clients during this pandemic.

Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity
Fort Collins Habitat has canceled all volunteer shifts through March 28 and will reevaluate the COVID-19 situation at that point. Meanwhile, they encourage everyone to stay home if you are feeling sick, disinfect your workspaces, and expect an “air high five” from them rather than a handshake or a hug.

The Matthews House
The Matthews House has made plans with staff around preventative practices and alternate forms of communication so they can continue serving youth and families. We know that vulnerable populations will feel the effects of this situation, as everyone will. As this unfolds, they will be in communication with those affected by programmatic changes. Thank you for your understanding.

Pathways
Pathways needs the support of the community now more than ever to keep our high-risk patients and families safe and receiving the best care possible. Most importantly they need your support to ensure that they do not lose momentum on their $8M capital campaign for the new Pathways Inpatient Care Center.
