This year has been a banner year for water, with snowpack levels reaching record highs and boosting Colorado reservoirs. However, one wet year does not erase years of drought, or a warming climate and an increasing population. In order for each of us to continue to enjoy reliable, high-quality water and maintain the Colorado lifestyle that we all cherish, we need to conserve this precious resource. Local nonprofit Colorado WaterWise (CWW) has teamed up with eight Colorado breweries who are putting these words into action to reduce their water footprint with the #Bike4Water event on Saturday, August 3, 2019, from noon to 4 pm.
The #Bike4Water event brings together Colorado breweries, utilities and other water-related organizations that are committed to living like they love Colorado’s most important natural resource: water. The goal is to encourage as many people as possible to ride their bikes to participating breweries and enjoy a discounted pint while learning about Colorado water, how water is used to make great beer, and what breweries are doing to conserve. To receive the discount, participants will need to show the #Bike4Water beer coupon (posted on LoveColoradoWater.org/Bike4Water) or their bike helmet and visit any participating brewery below from noon to 4 pm on Aug. 3.

In addition to receiving a discount off their first pint of beer, participants will be entered into a grand prize drawing to receive an Electra Cruiser ($300 value) from Campus Cycles in Denver. To enter, they will need to check in (on Instagram or Facebook) at the brewery they are biking to and post to their social media account(s) using the hashtag #Bike4Water and tagging @LoveColoradoWater. They are also encouraged to visit the Colorado Water – Live Like You Love Ittable at each of the breweries to learn more about the value of water and receive free giveaways.
