Enjoy a “night at the gallery” as opera debuts impressionistic theme, set and costumes
Loveland Opera Theatre brings Così fan tutte – “A School for Lovers” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – to the Rialto Theater in downtown Loveland Feb. 22 – March 3. The opera pairs comedy and commentary set to the most extraordinary music Mozart ever wrote. Award-winning director Tim Kennedy has created a new world for the show, bringing Impressionist paintings to life through the Così story.
“The Così experience – from the unique set design, handmade custom costumes and local Colorado performers – blends the beauty of opera and impressionism creatively and engagingly.” said Dr. Juliana Bishop Hoch, executive and artistic director. In Così fan tutte – A School for Lovers, two couples find that love and fidelity isn’t quite black and white through a zany turn of events, sprinkled with disguise, deceit, and wager run out of control. The Loveland Opera Theatre also brings interactive performances specifically created for children.
