The community is invited to an unforgettable evening of connection, compassion and impact at the Be the Light Gala, benefiting 3Hopeful Hearts. The event will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Windsong Estate Event Center, located at 2901 Saddler Blvd. in Severance.
This formal winter gala invites guests to come together in support of families who have suffered the loss of a child of any age and cause. The evening will feature gourmet dining, signature cocktails, a curated silent and live auction, and heartfelt stories that illuminate the power of hope in the face of loss.
A highlight of this year’s event will be the premiere of “My Friend Is Grieving,” a new 3Hopeful Hearts video campaign designed to normalize grief and bring greater awareness and understanding to a universal experience. The campaign will feature prominent members of the local community, including a sitting mayor, city council member, hockey team president and chamber of commerce leaders, who share personal stories about friends who are grieving and what it means to support someone navigating loss.
Through these conversations, community leaders will help highlight the fact that grief touches us all, whether through our own experiences or those of the people we care about. The campaign aims to break the silence surrounding grief, encourage open conversations, and inspire greater compassion, connection and understanding throughout our community.
“This new campaign and the gala are opportunities to remind anyone who may be grieving that they are not alone,” says Sarah Saltee, executive director of 3Hopeful Hearts. “Grief is something we will all encounter, whether through our own losses or those of the people we care about. By normalizing conversations about grief, we can create a community where people feel more comfortable acknowledging loss, showing up for one another, and offering meaningful support.”
