A Collaboration in Bloom

Emma Mannino was once known for her intricate drawings of Fort Collins buildings, from local coffee shops and breweries to historic homes. Now her art takes on a new form—one that recently caught the eye of one of the biggest pop stars of our time.

Back in 2021, Mannino started creating temporary tattoos as part of her Etsy business. People loved her dainty flowers, butterflies and other designs so much that she eventually decided to focus entirely on them. By 2025, she had rebranded her business with the name Saint Tattoos.

“I just went all in,” she says.

Now Mannino sells her tattoos to more than 700 retailers across the country, and she continues to sell them on Etsy. One day in early May, she received a message through the platform that would lead to one of the biggest opportunities of her career.

“They were like, ‘Hey, we have this identified talent that wants to work with you,’ and they wouldn’t say the name,” she says. “I thought it was a scam.”

It wasn’t until she joined a meeting a few days later that she learned the mystery talent was Olivia Rodrigo. The pop star had chosen her, along with nine other female Etsy creators, to work with for her upcoming Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival.

Mannino said yes, of course, and spent the next two-and-a-half months brainstorming concepts, designing tattoos and coordinating photoshoots with Rodrigo’s team.

“Olivia sent her inspiration for the festival and all the designs she had in mind,” Mannino says. “We went back and forth on iterations of what would fit the vibe.”

On July 23, the tattoo designs from the collaboration were released. Music notes, flowers and text reading “Daisy Chain Fields” make up the collection, which attracted 3,000 customers to Mannino’s Etsy page overnight.

“I’ve gotten more followers on Instagram, and my Etsy sales have increased—I did the math—by 1,000 percent,” Mannino says. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I think it’s really cool that she used a small artist.”

The collaboration also gave Mannino the chance to see the pop star showing off her work on her own skin.

“The coolest moment of it all was [realizing that] little old me designed this temporary tattoo, and Olivia Rodrigo is wearing them,” she says. “A huge name is wearing my tattoos.”

Mannino will attend the Daisy Chain Fields Festival on Aug. 29 in Irvine, Calif., where she will sell her tattoos alongside the nine other Etsy business owners. Founded by Rodrigo, the festival will bring together an all-women lineup, including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Stevie Nicks and other performers. Proceeds from the festival will benefit 10 nonprofit organizations dedicated to advocacy for women and girls. Fans can purchase Mannino’s Daisy Chain Fields tattoos on Etsy through Sept. 21, or until they sell out.

For Mannino, the festival is more than just a chance to sell her temporary tattoos. It’s an opportunity she never expected and one that could open the door even wider for her business.

“It’s very fun to think about where this project is going to take me,” she says. “I feel like I hit the lottery.”
