Able Kids Foundation
Able Kids Foundation specializes in the diagnosis and management of central auditory processing disorder (CAPD). Founded in 2006, Dr. Locke and Dr. Wisdom continue the work that began at Colorado State University in the 1970s and have served children, adolescents and adults from all 50 states and 32 countries.
Individuals with CAPD have difficulty understanding what they hear and filtering out background noise. CAPD frequently coexists with other conditions, including anxiety, autism, ADHD, giftedness, dyslexia, sensory processing difficulties and speech/language delays. Drs. Locke and Wisdom have spent the majority of their careers at the Foundation and have evaluated more than 4,000 individuals. They are recognized experts in the field, published authors and have spoken at local, national and international conferences.
