The Magic Rat Film Showcase presents “Inside the Experience: Storytelling Through Sound & Image” on Wednesday, June 17, at The Magic Rat inside The Elizabeth Hotel in Fort Collins. The evening features musician and spatial audio producer Amol Kitwadkar and video editor-cinematographer Lincoln Rzonca.
The event invites audiences into the creative intersection of sound and image, where emotion, rhythm and memory are shaped through intentional design. Through curated clips, live demonstrations and behind-the-scenes breakdowns, Kitwadkar and Rzonca will reveal how immersive sound design and visual storytelling work together to transform scenes into fully realized experiences.
“This evening is about revealing the invisible layers of storytelling, the moments where sound and image come together to shape how we feel, remember and connect,” says Shantel Hansen, founder and curator of the Magic Rat Film Showcase. “Amol and Lincoln are not just showing their work, they’re inviting us inside their process, and that kind of access is where real creative inspiration happens.”
Happy hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by the showcase at 7 p.m. The evening concludes with a live Q&A with both artists.
“We’re proud to host experiences like this that bring artists and audiences into the same room in a meaningful way,” says Carl Pratt, general manager of The Elizabeth Hotel. “Events like Inside the Experience reflect what we believe this space can be, a place where creativity is shared, explored and felt collectively.”
