The City of Greeley invites the community to attend its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 25, at Linn Grove Cemetery, located at 1700 Cedar Ave. Hosted by Linn Grove Cemetery staff in partnership with Weld County military organizations, the event brings the community together to remember those who have served our country. It is free and open to the public.

The ceremony will include:

  • Twenty-one-gun salute
  • Patriotic music
  • Proclamation
  • Guest speaker
  • Tributes and dedications
  • Benediction

A central part of the event is the Avenue of Flags, a display of more than 180 casket flags donated by local families. Each flag represents a loved one and stands as a powerful tribute to their service and sacrifice.

This year’s ceremony will feature keynote speaker Jennifer Jenkins, a caregiver and Wounded Warrior Project speaker who will share her experience supporting a wounded veteran.

“This ceremony is a meaningful way for our community to come together, reflect and honor those who gave their lives in service,” says Josh Hurley, manager of Linn Grove Cemetery. “It’s a tradition that continues because of the care and respect our community shows each year.”
