Rocky Mountain Paddleboard (RMP), Colorado’s largest paddle and watersports operator, announces the addition of Standley Lake in Westminster, Crystal Lake in Colorado Springs and Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins as its newest watersports locations.
The addition of Standley Lake builds on Rocky Mountain Paddleboard’s growing presence in the greater Denver area, while Crystal Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir expand RMP’s presence throughout the Front Range.
Now totaling 10 locations throughout Colorado, Rocky Mountain Paddleboard’s footprint also includes Cherry Creek Reservoir in Denver, Big Soda Lake and Little Soda Lake at Bear Creek Lake in Lakewood, Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Union Reservoir and Barefoot Lakes in Longmont and Georgetown Lake in Clear Creek County, which was added last month.
“Rocky Mountain Paddleboard has always focused on making it easy for Coloradans to discover and enjoy watersports close to home,” says Hank Grant, owner and operator of Rocky Mountain Paddleboard. “These latest additions to the RMP family build on our focus of bringing greater accessibility and providing more opportunities for Coloradans to enjoy watersports throughout the Centennial State.”
Standley Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir will officially open for the season Saturday, May 23, and remain operational through Sept. 7, 2026. Crystal Lake is on track to open at the beginning of July. At Horsetooth Reservoir, RMP will operate from two locations, offering boating and paddleboating services at South Bay and paddleboat rentals from Satanka Cove.
Founded in 2012 with a fleet of five paddleboards at Boulder Reservoir, Rocky Mountain Paddleboard has grown into Colorado’s most comprehensive paddle and watersports company. Today, the company offers paddleboard, kayak, canoe, pedal boat and pontoon rentals, guided lessons, group events and a range of tow-sports, including waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and foiling. These tow-sport experiences are offered through RMP’s sister business, Rocky Mountain Ski and Wake, operating out of Little Soda Lake at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood.
This summer, Rocky Mountain Paddleboard is also launching a revamped pass program designed for families, individuals, frequent paddlers and paddleboard owners who want to participate in the company’s lineup of community events.
“As we’ve seen from our winter snow sports friends throughout the years, Colorado outdoor enthusiasts love the ease and convenience of getting the most out of their adventures by maxing out usage of their season passes,” says Grant. “With so many RMP locations available in their backyard, with more on the way, our watersports enthusiasts will now get to experience a wide range of activities across a diverse array of stunning settings throughout Colorado.”
RMP’s season passes include a Family Pass, which allows use of two watercraft (SUP, kayak or canoe) at any time at any RMP location; a Local Pass, which includes unlimited use of one watercraft (SUP, kayak or canoe) at one designated RMP location for the full RMP season; a Go Anywhere Pass, which includes unlimited use of one watercraft (SUP, kayak or canoe) at any RMP location for the full season with no time limit; and a BYOBoard Event Pass, which allows paddle enthusiasts to bring their own stand-up paddleboard and participate in every Rocky Mountain Paddleboard event throughout the 2026 season.
On the topic of community-driven event programming, RMP is thrilled to announce its 2026 event lineup, which includes:
