The Pelican Lakes Turkey Trot brought a record-breaking crowd to Windsor’s Water Valley on Thanksgiving morning, creating a lively start to the holiday. Nearly 1,400 participants from 25 states ran or walked the scenic 5K course, starting and finishing at Pelican Lakes Resort & Golf. After crossing the finish line, participants enjoyed light snacks and beverages, and top-finisher awards were presented across all age groups. Thanks to the community’s generosity, three large barrels of nonperishable food were collected for the Weld Food Bank.
