Catch a chance to rock the boat with your favorite musician

It’s time for one of Can’d Aid’s most beloved annual fundraisers: Fishin’ With a Musician, offering music lovers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to go fishing with their favorite musician. Now through Oct. 30, the online benefit auction allows fans to bid on a dreamy day of angling with an artist. Click here for full details.

Can’d Aid is the national nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians through the donation of brand new instruments to music programs throughout the country. Award-winning touring artists work alongside Can’d Aid as TUNES ambassadors, supporting kids in the arts with instrument donations, hands-on workshops and special events like FWAM.

2025 participating musicians and the locations of their one-of-a-kind fishing experiences include Grammy-nominated upright and electric bassist Daniel Kimbro; CJ Cain, member of Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps; Woody Platt and so many more. Winning bids will secure a day of guided fishing followed by a unique, intimate post-fishing performance with the artist. The events will take place at various locations across the U.S.

“Fishin’ With a Musician is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for auction winners, and it truly makes a difference in the lives of kids in underserved communities,” says Diana Hicks, executive director of Can’d Aid. “This fundraiser allows us to get instruments into kids’ hands, inspiring creativity, social and emotional health and a lifelong love of music.”

Funds raised through Fishing with a Musician will help the nonprofit continue to provide instruments and music lessons for students in underserved schools. Ready to make waves with your favorite musician? Bid on a Fishing With a Musician experience and support Can’d Aid here.
