For the third straight year, the facility landed on Newsweek’s America’s Best Nursing Homes list

Newsweek’s America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 list highlights the nation’s top 1,200 nursing homes out of more than 15,000 nationwide. Lemay Avenue Health & Rehab, located at 4824 S. Lemay Ave. in Fort Collins, was one of seven skilled nursing facilities with 100-149 beds to be recognized in Colorado.

Facilities were evaluated on four pillars, including performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations and resident satisfaction, with performance data carrying an increased weight in 2026 to reflect the growing emphasis on clinical quality metrics.

“Being recognized as one of the top nursing homes in the country for the third year in a row is truly a reflection of the extraordinary people here,” says Elza Notario, administrator for the Lemay Avenue location. “Our team’s compassion, expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence set the standard for the exceptional care our residents receive every single day.”

“One of the most important decisions families face is choosing a trusted nursing home for themselves or a loved one,” Newsweek states. “Whether the need is for day-to-day support, medical care or long-term recovery, finding the right facility can make a profound difference in health outcomes and overall quality of life.”

“I am so proud to stand beside such a remarkable group of individuals who make it possible for our facility to meet such high standards,” Notario says.
