Tell us about yourself and your company.

I am from a small town in Kansas and moved to Fort Collins in July 2012. I have three wonderful kids, two of whom are currently attending college. Professionally, I am a dual degree (MD, DDS) oral and maxillofacial surgeon with an emphasis in pediatric maxillofacial surgery. After graduating summa cum laude at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, I moved to Minnesota to attend medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. I stayed at the Mayo Clinic to finish a surgical residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Following residency, I elected to focus my training with a yearlong fellowship in pediatric maxillofacial surgery at the Oklahoma Health Science Center. My company, Murphy OMS, started in July 2012 in Fort Collins with an emphasis in pediatric maxillofacial surgery.

How have you innovated in your field?

There are very few fellowship-trained pediatric maxillofacial surgeons in the U.S. Having the opportunity to bring this unique training and skill to Northern Colorado is quite a privilege and allows me to hold a license to perform deep sedation/general anesthesia in the pediatric population.

What are some of the latest technological advances in your industry?

The most recent advance in oral surgery is the ability to take digital CT scans in the office. These scans are helpful in determining the exact location and size of things such as tumors or cysts of the jaws, impacted teeth, dental implants and the bone structure of the jaw in preparation for surgery. It significantly improves accuracy and surgical time, leading to better outcomes.

What are you passionate about personally and professionally?

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my children and loved ones in the foothills of the Rockies. We often go on adventures in the mountains, whether it be backpacking, kayaking or skiing. I also love maintaining our little garden in the backyard as well as composting and doing our part to help the environment.

Professionally, I have a strong passion for helping the underserved community and children of Northern Colorado who require specialist training. On a more personal note, I became interested in helping children with clefts after my first cousin was born with a cleft lip and palate. Having witnessed his journey, I can understand the difficulties these children go through. I have also had the privilege of going on surgical mission trips to repair cleft lip and palate in Guatemala and Vietnam.

Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.

I moved from Iowa to Northern Colorado 10 years ago and quickly fell in love with this amazing community. My husband and I are raising two children here and feel grateful to call this place home. I chose dentistry because I’m driven to help people feel confident in their health and smiles. It’s incredibly rewarding to make a difference
in someone’s life by helping them feel
more comfortable, cared for and proud
of their smile.

How have you innovated in your field?

I completed advanced training to provide TMJ/TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder) assessment and treatment, an area often overlooked in healthcare. With advanced diagnostics and a whole-patient
approach, I identify underlying factors, relieve pain and support long-term health and quality of life.

Where is your industry headed in the next five to 10 years?

The dental industry is moving toward a more patient-centered approach, and it will be essential to deliver care that is both personalized and empathetic. The growing recognition of the vital connections between oral and systemic health will continue to shape the industry, positioning dentistry as an integral part of comprehensive healthcare.

What are you passionate about, both personally and professionally?

Professionally, I am committed to delivering personalized, compassionate dental care in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Personally, I strive to raise kind and thoughtful children who embody the same values of care, trust and connection that guide me.

Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.

With nearly 25 years in healthcare—from serving meals to residents in my local nursing home to becoming a senior leader at a major academic hospital—one mission has guided me: to make a meaningful difference in every patient’s experience and healthcare journey. I’ve witnessed both exceptional care and heartbreaking gaps, not just professionally but through the experiences of my family and friends. When the opportunity came to make an impact for outpatient infusion care, I jumped.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing your profession?

As a boutique, spa-like outpatient infusion center, our biggest challenge is the daily struggle of getting insurance companies to cover these much-needed treatments. We are both insurance-based and self-pay, so the constant change in payer policies and reimbursement is always challenging.

How have you innovated in your field?

In creating Suite Health, our goal was to change the way in which infusion care is provided. Oftentimes, it’s the smallest things that make a difference: a comfortable chair, heated blanket, comforting TV show or good snacks.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to bring awareness to?

Choice. As patients and consumers of the healthcare system, you have a voice in where you receive your care. You can and should drive the conversation about where you want to go, regardless of the reason.

What are you passionate about, both personally and professionally?

Doing the right thing and being a good person. With all the chaos that unfolds daily in this world, all I can control is the person I am today. Do good, be good and good will return to you time and time again.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to bring awareness to?

Patients hoping to improve their skin, hair or nails are inundated with products. It’s important to be mindful that while many of the companies selling those products mean well, they face little to no regulation. There is no guarantee that a given product even contains its advertised ingredients.

What are you passionate about, both personally and professionally?

Outside of medicine, I am most passionate about the environment and all the natural things found within it. Professionally, I love
when a challenging case exercises my curiosity and problem-solving abilities. It’s even better when I can share those cases with eager learners.

I started my business in 2014 as a solo massage therapist and have grown it into a practice with seven other massage therapists. I love helping people and employing talented staff members. I feel like I was always meant to start my own business; it has been a long but very fulfilling journey so far.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to bring awareness to?

Wellness isn’t just a luxury; it’s a lifestyle. In our fast-paced world, many people struggle with feelings of overwhelm, stress and anxiety. These feelings can lead to muscle tension and physical misalignments. Massage is an escape for an hour, where clients can leave their troubles outside and simply relax.

I’ve spent the past 20 years working exclusively in women’s health. Several years into my career, I noticed a trend of women presenting with many similar symptoms that were all affecting their quality of life. Recognizing that I lacked training to make a difference for these women, I set out to open a practice that valued personalized health care, long patient visits and a root-cause approach.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to
bring awareness to?

There are two themes that come up regularly in my practice. The first is that hormone changes during perimenopause and menopause affect not only the woman, but her entire family and her community. Secondly, conventional healthcare is not designed to prevent disease in women. Health optimization is best addressed in an integrative setting.

I received my doctorate at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dental Medicine in 2007, followed by a three-year prosthodontic residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. I trained with international authorities on dental esthetics and implant dentistry and tied for first place worldwide as a recipient of the Nobel Biocare Student Case Presentation Award.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing your profession?

Awareness and access. Many patients don’t realize how advanced and achievable implants are today, so educating them on oral health as a lifelong investment remains essential. We also see complex cases from years of ill-fitting dentures or failed treatments, which require a skilled team like ours to address.

Medicine taught me how to treat disease. My own journey taught me a deeper truth: Healing the body is impossible without also healing our lives. I am a physician with board certifications in internal, integrative and palliative medicine, and I am the founder of Healing with Intention, a boutique integrative practice for women.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to bring awareness to?

I would like to bring awareness to many of the quick-fix promises in the wellness industry that prey on our desire to feel better. True healing isn’t quick or easy; it’s a journey that takes time and energy yet brings the profound reward of aligning the body, heart and soul.

Tell us about yourself, your history and how you came to be where you are now.

With 18 years as a massage therapist and 23 years as a cosmetologist, I’ve built a boutique spa dedicated to quiet luxury and personalized care. Wellness is part of my family’s story: My grandmother was a cosmetologist, my godmother was a massage therapist and now my daughters are continuing in the same field. Together, we proudly carry forward a family tradition of healing, beauty and lasting well-being.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to bring awareness to?

Massage and wellness services are too often viewed as indulgences. They ease stress, reduce pain and restore clarity. Consistent care builds resilience, improves sleep and strengthens overall health. At Rising Sun, we believe self-care is daily maintenance for the mind and body to reset, recharge and live with balance and vitality.

Our guiding principles. We provide a high-quality, all-natural product that will give you the best teeth whitening results at an affordable price. We are the only provider to offer a choice of different packages to personalize your needs and goals, and we have a generous loyalty program. At DaVinci, we like to give back by supporting a few of the local no-kill animal shelters. Sometimes that means donating our services for auctions, and other times it’s simply making a monetary donation. We are also one of the only laser teeth whitening practices to offer a generous loyalty discount program to our clients with no costly exams or x-rays required.

What is something in the wellness industry that you’d like to bring awareness to?

One of the greatest challenges for people is overstimulation of the nervous system. The most important work for a yoga teacher is to authentically and compassionately cultivate an environment that provides opportunities for resiliency, reprieve and introspection.

What are you most passionate about, both personally and professionally?

I am passionate about breathing and movement, present-moment experiences, human connection and outdoor adventures.

How do you give back to your community?

Old Town Yoga offers free, all-levels yoga classes to the community as well as regular donations to nonprofits’ silent auctions and other events. We also love celebrating the start and end of summer by hosting two free Yoga in the Square events in June and September.
