A free, family-friendly fall tradition with pumpkins, games, contests and more
The Loveland Downtown District invites the community to celebrate the changing seasons and all things pumpkin at the seventh annual Downtown Pumpkin Festival from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. The event takes place on 5th Street in front of the Loveland Museum and offers a full afternoon of all-ages, fall-themed fun.
Admission to the festival is free, with activities and entertainment designed to bring families, neighbors and friends together in the heart of Loveland. Guests can look forward to the following activities.
Contests
Attendees are encouraged to wear their best costumes for a family/group costume contest at 1 p.m. led by local theater company Find Your Light. A lively pumpkin pie eating contest will follow at 3 p.m.
Participation is free for both contests. The Loveland Downtown District will award prizes to the winners of each contest.
Pumpkin carnival games
From the pumpkin ring toss and pumpkin bowling to pumpkin golf, kids and adults alike will find plenty to enjoy. Tickets for the pumpkin carnival games can be purchased the day of the event at the Loveland Downtown District tent.
Food and entertainment
Ten food and beverage trucks will be onsite with festive fare, and farmers market booths will sell local and handmade goods. DJ Howe will provide live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Enjoy live pumpkin sculpting and vote for your favorite sculpture. Don’t forget to check out the giant pumpkin—cast your vote with a guess on how much it weighs for a chance to win a prize.
Pumpkin decorating
For $12, participants can purchase a pumpkin decorating kit that includes a large pumpkin and either a carving or decorating kit. The decorating kits have been designed by local artists and include supplies to create a seasonal masterpiece. In addition to the artists kits, Loveland Fire and Rescue Authority will provide a special fireman pumpkin decorating kit. All pumpkin decorating tickets include a tote bag filled with swag from local businesses.
“The Pumpkin Festival is one of our favorite ways to celebrate fall as a community,” says Nicole Fellure with the Loveland Downtown District. “It’s a chance for families to come together, create traditions and enjoy downtown in a fun, festive setting.”
