Greeley Celebrates Community Volunteers, Invites New Applicants

The Greeley City Council is proud to announce the following boards and commissions appointments:

  • Laura Gurney – Citizen Budget Advisory Committee
  • Jason Mossman – Construction Trades Advisory and Appeals Board
  • Mark Benjamin – Construction Trades Advisory and Appeals Board
  • Morgan Kidder – Construction Trades Advisory and Appeals Board
  • Sohail Akhavein – Human Relations Commission
  • Erik Briscoe – Planning Commission
  • Louisa Andersen – Planning Commission
  • Paul Henneck – Stormwater Board

Residents are encouraged to share their insights with Greeley’s local elected officials. The following boards and commissions have openings:

  • Citizen Budget Advisory Committee – 1 seat available.
  • Commission on Disabilities – 2 seats available.
    • 1 seat requires a local employer or community member at large.
    • 1 seat requires a person with a disability or a parent/guardian.
  • Downtown Development Authority – 1 seat available.
  • Human Relations Commission – 3 seats available.
  • Island Grove Advisory Board – 1 seat available
  • Museum Board – 2 seats available.
  • Stormwater Board – 1 seat available.
  • Union Colony Civic Center Advisory Board – 1 seat available.
  • Youth Commission – 2 seats available.

The city will accept applications until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Apply online at greeleyco.gov/government/get-involved/boards-and-commissions. Staff will schedule interviews for the week of Oct. 6. Appointments will be made at the Sept. 16 council meeting.
