The Greeley Creative District announces the hire of Becca Vaclavik as its first full-time executive director, who began her work with the organization June 23.
Vaclavik comes to the district as an arts and culture enthusiast with nearly two decades of experience in digital marketing, storytelling and team leadership. She has worked primarily in nonprofit theater administration for organizations such as CU Presents (Boulder, Colo.); St. Ann’s Warehouse (Brooklyn, N.Y.); 59E59 Theaters (New York, N.Y.); Williamstown Theatre Festival (Williamstown, Mass.); and others. She has also worked in municipal government, most recently with the City of Greeley.
Originally from Indianapolis, Vaclavik and her husband relocated from New York City to Greeley in 2015 and have resided here since with their two children. She holds an MS in organizational leadership (University of Colorado) and a BS in theatre management (University of Evansville).
Vaclavik joins the district’s two part-time staff and will work directly with the organization’s board of directors to support, promote and grow Greeley’s creative community. Temporary offices are located at 924 8th Ave., and she can be reached at 970.373.5223 or at becca@greeleycreativedistrict.org.
