The City of Fort Collins Forestry Division will offer free wood mulch to residents on Saturday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1380 Hoffman Mill Road.
City personnel will provide loading assistance using a front-end loader. Residents should remain in their vehicles during the loading process for safety. Visitors must bring their own open-top vehicle or trailer and are responsible for covering their loads when leaving the facility.
This offer is available only to Fort Collins residents, not commercial businesses.
Access to the event will be permitted only from northbound Lemay Avenue. Visitors should follow traffic laws and event signage and avoid idling or parking on railroad tracks while in line. Long wait times are expected, with afternoon wait times typically shorter than in the morning. To exit, visitors must turn right from Poudre River Drive onto northbound Lemay Avenue.
Residents unable to attend the Free Mulch Day event can access self-load mulch at Timberline Recycling Center and Gardens on Spring Creek throughout the year.
