The City of Fort Collins is inviting residents and business owners to help shape the future of local commercial spaces by participating in an upcoming open house focused on key updates to the Land Use Code.
The open house, offered in both virtual and in-person formats, will provide an opportunity for community members to share feedback on four major topics that could lead to better outcomes for the city’s commercial corridors and centers:
- Commercial building types and forms
- Adjustments to allowed uses within existing commercial zone districts
- Design standards that promote walkability and pedestrian-friendly environments
- Employment land use along the Harmony Corridor
- Improvements to the development review process
“The Land Use Code plays a vital role in shaping how our community grows,” says City of Fort Collins Planning Manager Clay Frickey. “We want to ensure that future development aligns with our community’s vision and supports vibrant mixed-use areas and small business. Your input is essential in making that happen.”
The open house will be structured as an interactive event, allowing attendees to engage with city staff at various stations at their own pace. Spanish interpretation will be available.
