Human Bean Northern Colorado has made supporting cancer fighters in the region a long-standing tradition. To benefit the UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation Oncology Patient Assistance Fund, the company hosted a fundraiser in partnership with the Colorado Eagles during the team’s Fight Cancer game on January 11. Building on the Eagles’ slogan “Let it Fly,” customers were encouraged to “Let it Chai!” From January 1 to January 25, 100% of the proceeds from the Eagles Nest Chai drink sold at all 10 drive-thru locations were donated to the Foundation’s fund. The effort raised a total of $3,380.
The Eagles Nest Chai, crafted specifically for the fundraiser, featured chai, honey and lavender. It paired perfectly with the special lavender jerseys worn by the Colorado Eagles during their 7-2 victory over the Calgary Wranglers at Blue Arena, a game held in honor of those fighting cancer in the community.
