The Landing provides hope for unaccompanied youth ages 15–20 experiencing homelessness. In addition to being a safe place to stay, the shelter offers mental health support, employment coaching and essential resources. Over 300 attendees gathered for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the collaborative efforts of The Matthews House, local school districts and more than 20 other organizations that helped open The Landing. Guests were inspired by speeches from community leaders, including Shawn Keefer, Nicole Armstrong, Dr. Marc Schaffer, Brian Kingsley, Colorado Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera and Tyler, a brave youth who shared his journey. This milestone marks a vital step in empowering vulnerable youth to build brighter futures.
