Seth Forwood Named to Governor Fellowship Group

Seth Forwood, Vice President of Programs for Denver Rescue Mission in Northern Colorado, has been accepted into the Colorado Governor’s Fellowship Program. He is one of 42 individuals selected from nearly 100 applicants.

The nine-month program, operated by CiviCO, is designed for mid-to-senior-level professionals who demonstrate leadership potential, are engaged in their communities and prioritize collaboration. Founded in 1999, CiviCO supports leaders in developing skills for public service.

“I’m deeply honored to have been chosen and also very excited to learn a lot, meet some new people, and gain a new, state-wide perspective through the Governors Fellowship,” Forwood said.

During the program, Fellows are expected to attend five statewide in-person Fellowship Sessions, monthly online peer advisory sessions, and engage in the individualized curriculum as assigned. The program culminates with a LEAP/graduation ceremony in October of 2025.

Forwood has been with Denver Rescue Mission since 2005 and was named Vice President of Programs for Northern Colorado in September 2024. He began his service to the community as an intern at Harvest Farm while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Colorado State University.
