Human Bean Northern Colorado continues to add meaning to each customer’s visit with their Guest Barista days. On Thursday, December 5, 2024, ten percent of sales made at the 405 E. Main Street location in Windsor was donated to Finally Home. With additional cash donations from customers, the event raised a total of $410.89 for the nonprofit. A check was presented to Finally Home on January 7.
Finally Home serves to equip foster, adoptive and kinship families to build healthy homes where children and youth can heal. Since their inception in 2008, more than 1,500 families have benefited from their programs and products, which are designed to give caregivers the tools they need to help the whole family thrive. The Human Bean’s Guest Barista Day program successfully connects nonprofits to customers, helping to raise money for those in need around northern Colorado. Representatives from a selected nonprofit serve as “guest baristas” for a couple of hours during the day at participating locations. The nonprofit representatives engage with customers as they make their way through the drive-thru. Nonprofits can tell customers more about their mission, while distributing information. In addition to the 10 percent donated to the nonprofit, customers can make cash donations through the “Fill the Cup” campaign.
