The Picklr Cheyenne is Now Open

New Indoor Pickleball Facility Hosts Grand Opening Events on Saturday, January 11

Colorado Pickleball ADA LLC announces that The Picklr Cheyenne is open and will celebrate its Grand Opening this weekend, with special events between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 11.  There will be complimentary open play for novices through advanced players, facility tours, games, a DJ, snacks, a food truck, and raffles.  Some attendees will have the chance to challenge co-owner – and former number-one ranked professional pickleball player – Kyle Yates!  Raffle prizes include a one-hour clinic with Yates, who was recently inducted into the Pickleball Hall of Fame and, at 29, is its youngest honoree.

Laramie County residents and U.S. Army veterans Ray and Tanya Estes are owner/operators of The Picklr Cheyenne, located in the former Big Lots building, 3741 E. Lincolnway. The 22,000-square-foot facility includes eight indoor courts with professional-style surfacing, a pro shop, private event space, and grab-and-go refreshments. In addition to open play, services include clinics, professional instruction, tournaments and league play.

A former tennis player, Ray picked up the pickleball bug in 2020 and is now a competitive player.  “I quickly got drawn into the pickleball addiction and found myself playing 3-5 days a week for a couple of hours at a time,” Ray said.  “I’ve always wished there was a Picklr closer to me in Wyoming, and I felt that one would succeed in Cheyenne; I am thrilled to welcome everyone throughout the region to visit our brand new Picklr Cheyenne.”
