Experience a Cherished Holiday Tradition at Denver Christkindlmarket With Round-trip Excursions From Fort Collins

Enjoy a winter wonderland and German-style holiday market in the Mile High City on Saturday, Dec. 14, without the hassles of driving and parking. The round-trip excursion from Fort Collins, Experience the Denver Christkindlmarket Tradition, has been organized by the Global Adventures club at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.

“For 23 years, Denver has recreated the joy of strolling through a European village square during the holidays,” says Barbara Schoenberger, the museum’s executive director. “Participants will experience our region’s only authentic German holiday market and shop for unique artisan gifts and handicrafts sold by local and international merchants in charming wooden huts.”

Reserved tables in the festival hall will be available midday, with table service for traditional German food and beverages. The festival hall is renowned for its live entertainment and dancing.

“It is truly a magical holiday experience,” Schoenberger adds.

The museum’s Global Adventures offerings focus on learning and sharing information about the world and the many opportunities to discover, explore and protect it. Hosts for the adventure will be Alice and Daniel Owen, who are frequent visitors to the Christkindlmarket.

Participants will meet at the Harmony Park and Ride in Fort Collins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, to travel by van to the Denver market and will return to the Park and Ride by 5 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person, and reservations and signed waiver are required by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at globalvillagemuseum.org. As the Christmas market is outdoors, registrants should dress for the weather, and participants are asked to bring a cell phone to maintain contact with the group.
