Adeo Breaks Ground on 2730 @ Adeo

Elevating lives for those living with the long-term effects of brain injury

Adeo is proud to announce the groundbreaking of 2730 @ Adeo, a transformative project that will provide vital support and residential services for individuals living with brain injuries. This event marks the beginning of the public phase of Adeo’s $7.5 million Elevating Lives Capital Campaign, aimed at raising the final $500,000 needed to complete the project by the end of 2025.

The renovation of 2730 @ Adeo will offer 28 affordable, accessible units designed specifically for individuals living with brain injuries. These apartments are more than just a place to live—they’re a place to call home.

The facility will include communal spaces for recreation and dining, fostering a sense of connection among residents. Essential care and support will be available 24/7, ensuring that residents receive the assistance they need around the clock.

“Adeo has long been a place where individuals can find the support they need to thrive,” says Carrie Olenick, incoming executive director of Adeo. “With 2730 @ Adeo, we are building on that legacy, offering a new space where our residents can live with dignity, safety and a sense of belonging. We are grateful to our donors and supporters who have helped us get this far, and we look forward to the community’s continued support as we enter the final phase of our campaign.”

A Growing Need in Northern Colorado

Every year, thousands of individuals in Colorado sustain traumatic brain injuries, underscoring the critical need for long-term care and support services. 2730 @ Adeo will fill this gap as the only facility of its kind in Northern Colorado offering specialized residential care for individuals with brain injuries. The project aims to provide a supportive environment where residents can rebuild their lives, reclaim their independence and rediscover joy.

“This groundbreaking is more than just the start of a building,” says Chris Woodruff, a longtime board member of Adeo. “It’s a testament to Adeo’s vision of a community where everyone has the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, regardless of their challenges. The support we’ve received has been inspiring, and we are confident that with the community’s help, we will reach our goal.”

For Sharon Werning, board president and a family member of an Adeo resident, the project holds deep personal significance.

“Seeing the plans for 2730 @ Adeo become a reality gives us hope,” she says. “My family knows firsthand how vital this type of housing is, but it’s more than just providing a place to live. It’s about the loving care that Adeo extends to those it serves, creating a true home where residents feel valued, supported and cared for.”

A Call to Action: Supporting the Elevating Lives Campaign

With $7 million already raised, the Elevating Lives Campaign aims to secure the remaining $500,000 needed to complete 2730 @ Adeo. Donations to the campaign will directly support the creation of these new housing units, ensuring that individuals with brain injuries have a safe place to live and receive the care they need. Community support will be crucial to achieving this goal and helping Adeo continue its mission of providing housing with dignity and compassion.
