Ascend Orthodontics in Loveland to Host Ribbon Cutting and Halloween Candy Buy-Back Event

Ascend Orthodontics is helping parents and children unload their excess Halloween candy for a good cause. On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, community members can bring their candy to Ascend Orthodontics from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 700 W. Eisenhower Blvd. in Loveland to trade it in for a $5 gift card per bag. The candy will be donated to Treats for Troops to share the sweet gift of candy and uplift the spirits of those in the military.

The Halloween candy buy-back program is designed to promote Ascend Orthodontics’ commitment to good dental health and encourage healthy choices and good dental habits among young kids. It provides parents an easy and safe option to unload excess amounts of candy and help minimize their children’s sugar consumption.

“Halloween is a fun holiday for kids, and we want them to enjoy the reward of the candy they’ve collected,” says Dr. Carly Schiro, Ascend’s owner and orthodontist. “We suggest that kids pick out a few of their favorite candies. Those with braces should stay away from sticky candies, like caramel and taffy, and bring their extra to us.”

The Halloween buy-back event coordinates with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony being done with the Loveland Chamber of Commerce on the same day. The community is invited to attend the free event and enjoy snacks, games and a tour of the facility. They will have the opportunity to meet the Ascend Orthodontics team and learn more about their services.
