Did you know that one in five people in Weld County struggles with hunger and almost 10 percent of the population in Larimer County may be facing food insecurity? To help local communities faced with the need for food assistance, Human Bean Northern Colorado hosted a special give-back event. On Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, $1 from every drink purchased at any one of the 10 Human Bean Northern Colorado drive-thru locations was donated to help those in need. Customers also donated directly to the cause with generous cash donations. The collective effort raised a total of $5,404.02.
Proceeds were distributed between the Wellington Colorado Food Bank, Food Bank for Larimer County, Windsor Severance Food Pantry and Weld Food Bank.
