Human Bean Northern Colorado is giving coffee lovers another reason to come out to celebrate National Coffee Day this year. On Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, The Human Bean will donate 100 percent of hot and iced coffee sales purchased at any one of their 10 drive-thru locations to the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund.
The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund is a firefighter charity established after the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11. Terry Farrell was serving for the New York City Fire Department on Rescue 4 when he was killed during the attacks. Since that time, the organization has worked diligently to support firefighters and their families with educational, medical and equipment needs.
“Having just experienced the Alexander Mountain Fire and other wildfires in our area, we were gravely reminded of everything our firefighters risk for our safety,” says Frank Sherman, owner of Human Bean Northern Colorado. “The money raised on National Coffee Day might be used to support a firefighter’s family member who is sick or has an ambition to get a college education, or the funds might provide some much-needed resources for a small volunteer department with no money for training or equipment. Whatever the case may be, we are so glad to work with the community to help our firefighters.”
Local firefighters will be onsite at two of The Human Bean locations to greet and talk to customers about the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund. They will be at the 821 N. College Ave. (Fort Collins) and 6180 E. Crossroads Boulevard (Loveland) locations from 9-11 a.m.
