The Town of Berthoud is proud to announce the grand reopening of the historic Berthoud Town Park. For almost 100 years, this park has been a neighborhood gathering place in the heart of Berthoud, and on Saturday, September 14th, at 9:00 a.m., it will, once again, welcome the community to play, splash, and visit.
“I grew up here, and I remember coming to this park when I was young,” said Jeremy Olinger, Deputy Town Administrator, “I spent so many afternoons hanging out with my friends at the original pool, so being able to play such a large part in revitalizing this park for the next generation of kids to make memories is amazing and humbling.”
The newly renovated Town Park boasts a fully inclusive 12,000-square-foot playground, offering endless fun for children of all abilities. Additionally, a stunning 6,000-square-foot natural stone water feature with 15 interactive waterspouts and a button-activated waterfall provides a refreshing space for families to cool off and enjoy the outdoors.
Two covered, rentable pavilions offer an ideal setting for gatherings, with one also featuring a gas fire pit. Visitors can also enjoy the tranquil Monument Garden for quiet introspection or private conversations, and there is plenty of shaded space throughout the park to bring in yard games or enjoy a picnic in the shade.
The grand reopening celebration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and there will be free Nolo Snowballs for the first 150 guests. The Town of Berthoud invites everyone to join in the festivities and explore the newly revitalized Berthoud Town Park.
