Explore Greeley During Downtown Discovery Month

During September’s Downtown Discovery Month, Greeley will showcase many activities, new businesses and attractions. The City of Greeley encourages its employees, local college students and community members to venture downtown to discover what has changed since the last time they visited. Downtown visitors can drop by participating businesses, scan a QR Code and add their check-ins to the map to be eligible to win a prize. Attendees can find a map and list of locations at bit.ly/downtown-discovery and are encouraged to submit photos when checking in.

“I had a lot of fun checking into all the businesses,” says last year’s college division winner, Stephanie Smith. “I discovered new places around Greeley that I likely never would’ve known about otherwise.”

Downtown Discovery Month allows the community to experience the Geographic Information System tools used by the City of Greeley for operations, analysis, decision support and more. Adding your photos to the map shows how easy it is to create spatial data.

Reimagine Lincoln Park

Greeley’s founders established Lincoln Park in 1870, and for more than 150 years, the downtown park has hosted concerts, festivals and even birthday parties. It’s a symbol of Greeley’s community pride and togetherness. The City of Greeley is poised to begin a transformative redesign of the park that reflects the community’s spirit and aspirations. Lincoln Park is, and will continue to be, a crucial part of Downtown Greeley. Share your ideas for the park at speakupgreeley.com/reimagine-lincoln-park.
