2024 One Sweet Summer Wednesday Concert Series Finale

The Loveland Downtown District finishes the summer with a bonus of Wendy Woo opening for Sugar Britches on Wednesday, Aug. 28

The live music on Wednesday nights kicked off on July 10 as part of the One Sweet Summer event series, and the eight-week series will conclude with a highly anticipated performance by local favorites Sugar Britches and Friends. This marks the third year the Downtown District has curated a local collaboration concert to close out the series, and this year’s event will feature an added bonus.

Sugar Britches will play from 6:30-8:30 p.m., featuring guest appearances from Vi Wickam, Wendy Woo, Eric Lunde and Sweet Virginia. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as Wendy Woo will also deliver an opening set from 6-6:30 p.m. Wendy was originally scheduled to perform on July 31, but her show was canceled due to the fire activity and poor air quality that week.

“While we couldn’t add her full concert back to the schedule, we are excited to have her featured as a solo opener on Wednesday. It will be a very special way to complete our summer,” says Sean Hawkins, executive director of the Loveland Downtown District. “Wendy is certainly a local fan favorite, and we are glad to be able to still feature her in some way as we close out the year.”

In addition to the music, Wednesday Night Concerts feature food vendors and downtown craft breweries. All events in the series are free and open to the public, with free parking available throughout downtown and in The Foundry parking garage.

Support for the One Sweet Summer event series comes from the generosity of annual investor partners FNBO, Xfinity, Natural Grocers and Breeze Thru Car Wash, as well as iHeart Media. OBC Wine Project is the official beverage sponsor. Visit downtownloveland.org/onesweetsummer for more event details.
