The City of Greeley’s Housing Solutions Department is pleased to announce the application cycle for 2025 CDBG and HOME awards.
For more than 20 years, Greeley has received funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) programs. These funds are used for projects that meet the city’s goals and priority needs, such as:
- Preserving, maintaining and providing access to affordable housing for homeless, low-moderate-income, underserved and special needs residents.
- Revitalizing neighborhoods within the Redevelopment District.
- Improving public facilities that serve the homeless, low- to moderate-income, underserved and special needs residents or low-moderate-income neighborhoods.
- Supporting public services that assist homeless, low-moderate-income, underserved and special needs residents.
In 2025, the anticipated funding for these projects includes:
- $123,000 for CDBG public service activities
- $533,000 for CDBG project activities
- $325,500 for HOME project activities
- $65,100 for HOME project activities performed by a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO)
Proposed projects must benefit Greeley’s low- to moderate-income residents or help prevent or eliminate slum or blighted conditions.

Learn about the impact and availability of CDBG and HOME grants
The City of Greeley is holding two public engagement meetings to discuss the CDBG and HOME initiatives. The meetings will be held from 10-11 a.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. on July 8, 2024, at the Greeley Recreation Center (651 10th Ave.). The same information will be presented at both meetings, so residents only need to attend one.
The two sessions will give residents, community organizations and others a chance to learn about the CDBG and HOME programs, which are designed to address critical community development needs, improve housing conditions and support the community’s low- and moderate-income households.
Key Meeting Topics:
- Overview of the CDBG and HOME programs and their goals
- Current and proposed projects funded by CDBG and HOME
- How these programs benefit low- and moderate-income residents
- Opportunities for public input and feedback on future funding priorities
- How to apply for funding and participate in program activities
