Fort Collins Symphony Announces 101st Season

Symphonic Tales: A Journey of Imagination & Discovery

The Fort Collins Symphony (FCS), under the direction of Maestro Wes Kenney, is excited to announce its 101st Season: “Symphonic Tales: A Journey of Imagination and Discovery.” The season includes five Signature Concerts and two Pops Concerts, all held at the Fort Collins Lincoln Center between October 2024 and May 2025.

“Symphonic Tales” offers audiences an escape to the extraordinary. Experience the magic and mysteries of ancient lands in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade and Hilary Tann’s The Grey Tide and the Green. Feel the rhythm and romance of the big city at night in George Gershwin’s An American in Paris, Duke Ellington’s Black, Brown, and Beige, and Chick Corea’s Trombone Concerto. Embrace the triumph and tragedy of timeless love in Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet and Johannes Brahms’ Tragic Overture. The Season includes two pops concerts: the Spine-Tingling Tales Halloween fall concert and the Fantastic Tales spring concert. In addition, FCS will present the return of its popular Friends of the Symphony-sponsored Family Concert, featuring Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and composer Gregory Smith narrating his Zoo Song.

Following a landmark 100th season that included multiple sold-out concerts, symphony fans are encouraged to secure their seats early by purchasing a full seven-concert season subscription or three-concert bundle package. Season ticket and bundle packages go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Tickets for individual concerts go on sale on Tuesday, June 18th.
