The Ascendant Presented by Blue Announces Sponsor Exemption Qualifying Tournaments

All four exemptions into the field will be determined by qualifying tournaments at TPC Colorado on July 6, 2024

The Ascendant presented by Blue announced that all four exemptions into the 156-player field will be determined through three separate qualifying events that will take place on Saturday, July 6, at TPC Colorado. This will be the first time that the exemptions will be awarded through a competition. Two of the four exemptions will be awarded to the top two finishers with either 2024 PGA TOUR or Korn Ferry Tour status. The other two exemptions will be awarded to the top finisher in two categories: Juniors and Open. Juniors that are 18 years or younger as of July 6 are eligible to compete in a field limited to 30 players. The Open division will be available to golfers older than 18 years of age and are not PGA TOUR or Korn Ferry Tour members for 2024. The Open and Junior qualifying tournaments will be eligible to all golfers with a handicap of zero or better. The field of the junior qualifying event will be determined through TUGR rankings, and players will be accepted in ranking order through June 12.

To enter any of the three qualifying events, each player must submit an application and pay an entry fee of $300 after they have been selected in the qualifying tournament field. The purse for each qualifying event is as follows: PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour members – 1st place will receive $3,000 | 2nd place will receive $1,500. Juniors – 1st place will receive $500. Open category – 1st place will receive $1,000.

“We are thrilled to offer this unique opportunity for all golfers aspiring to play in The Ascendant presented by Blue in 2024,” says Tournament Director Drew Blass. “We hope this tournament provides these four golfers the opportunity to showcase their talents against world class golfers on the Korn Ferry Tour.”
