Community-led Juneteenth Celebration Returns to Fort Collins

Celebrate Black Culture in Fort Collins All Weekend

The community-led Juneteenth celebration is returning to Fort Collins for its third year and will take place at the Foothills Mall from June 14-16.

The weekend-long celebration will kick off on Friday, June 14, with a youth night at the Cultural Enrichment Center and live musical performances by Rolos Rios and Motown Revue at the Foothills Mall. Saturday is a full day of celebration. Start the morning with a community bike ride at Lee Martinez Park or morning yoga at Foothills Mall. The Saturday celebration will run all day at Foothills Mall from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Join us for yoga on the lawn, wellness workshops, kids’ activities including a scavenger hunt throughout the mall, a vendor market featuring BIPOC-owned businesses and food trucks. The night will end with a concert on the lawn featuring live performances from hip-hop group New Bloodline and local funk group Titonic. The weekend will culminate on Sunday morning with Church on the Lawn at Foothills Mall.

Community members of all identities are invited to join in the festivities and embrace the learning and celebration of Black culture in Northern Colorado. For more details about the weekend, community members are encouraged to visit focojuneteenth.com. Some events may require advance registration.
