Glass4Good Recycling Drive at Crabtree Brewing

The City of Greeley invites the community to recycle their glass at the O-I Glass Glass4Good recycling drive from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at Crabtree Brewing Company (2961 29th Street). O-I, one of the world’s leading producers of glass containers, will provide a charitable donation to United Way of Weld County based on the weight of collected glass.

During the event, community members are invited to recycle their glass and learn about the benefits of glass recycling. In exchange, adults 21 and older will be given a free growler produced by O-I, which they can then pay Crabtree to fill. Visitors can also contribute to a DIY mosaic glass project Crabtree staff will create onsite.

Attendees should rinse any glass donations before deposit. Beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic glass bottles; glass food jars; and drinking glasses are all eligible for recycling. The city’s two glass recycling locations—which also includes Andersen’s Sales & Salvage, Inc. (1490 E. 8th Street)—do not accept windows, solar panels, heat-resistant glass, computer or TV screens, light bulbs, mirrors or ceramics.
