School of Rock Loveland will kick off its grand opening festival with live performances from Northern Colorado bands, tours, prizes, food trucks and more
School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education with over 360 schools across 15 global markets, is celebrating the opening of its new school in Loveland with an event taking place at 5737 McWhinney Blvd. from 12-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.
The festival will feature free live performances from some of Northern Colorado’s best local bands, including Write Minded, Sabotage, Guerilla Radio and more. School of Rock’s Loveland House Band will also be performing throughout the event. The festival will include tours of the music school, opportunities to meet the instructors, chances to win prizes, lunch from local food trucks and fun activities for all ages.
School of Rock Loveland is owned by Chuck and Donna Silber, who opened their first School of Rock in Fort Collins in August 2020. The Silbers’ love for music, coupled with the success of their first location, made opening another School of Rock in Colorado a “no-brainer” for the couple. Chuck is a lifelong classic rocker and multi-instrumentalist, and his wife Donna is a music enthusiast with years of experience in early childhood education. The couple has seen over 300 concerts together throughout their marriage and continues to enjoy sharing and creating music to this day.
For Chuck and Donna, their School of Rock locations are an opportunity to provide greater access to performance-based music education with musicians and music lovers across Northern Colorado. The Fort Collins and Loveland schools are in prime locations, creating easy access for students to attend from surrounding communities, like Wellington, Timnath, Severance, Windsor, Johnstown, Berthoud and Greeley. School of Rock Loveland is an anchor tenant in the newly redeveloped Loveland Yards center at the intersection of I-25 and Hwy. 34, making it central to reach more students and space for classes and performances.
“We always loved Northern Colorado and its vibrant local music scene. After many years in the music community, we felt it would be the perfect place for School of Rock,” says Donna Silber, general manager and co-owner of School of Rock Loveland. “Having just celebrated our third anniversary of our Fort Collins location, the incredible support we’ve received from that community has certainly validated our decision. We are thrilled to bring the world’s most revolutionary music school to Loveland Yards.”
School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.
“Chuck and Donna are deeply committed to nurturing students’ creative and personal growth through music education within their communities. Their track record of success at School of Rock Fort Collins speaks volumes, and we anticipate nothing less for School of Rock Loveland,” says Stacey Ryan, COO of School of Rock. “Their dedication will undoubtedly exceed expectations as they further enrich the lives of students across Northern Colorado. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the positive impact this new school will have on both its students and the wider community.”
